The Professional Singles Club is a
non profit organization designed to promote activities for the 45
plus age group who are single, divorced, separated or widowed men and women.
This club has been in existence since 1987; some original members
continue to attend our events. Our current number of members is
over 200, with new people joining throughout the year.
This club is a group of energetic
dynamic people who socialize with other singles in a comfortable and
relaxed atmosphere. The term “professional” denotes an attitude
toward life, not a description of a person’s occupation or the
inclination to remain single.
The club provides a variety of
activities such as Sunday Brunches followed with Scenic Walks,
monthly Saturday evening Suppers
at various restaurants, Pot Lucks, Golf, Volleyball (indoor and
outdoor), Downhill & Cross Country Skiing, Curling, Grey Cup & Super Bowl
Parties,
Corn Roasts, Breakfast in the Park, Weiner Roasts, Special Event
Dances and Friday night Socials, etc.
The club operates with volunteers who
dedicate much time and effort to establish these functions,
accommodating the needs and interests of this club. Members are
encouraged to participate by attending various functions and
volunteering whenever possible.
The Executive Committee is nominated
at the Annual General Meeting, usually a dance and social at the end
of March. This group meets every month to plan club activities and welcome new members. An application/waiver
form is filled
out prior to becoming a member.
Other functions that the club
promotes include: an Open House in September, the Annual Christmas
Party, Golf Tournaments and many other fun, exciting, interactive
events.
Our annual fee is $ 25.00, payable
with the new fiscal year, starting May 01. Our PSC Members receive a
newsletter, via email every second month outlining the activities
and events for the upcoming months. You’ll find this
information on our website, under the ‘Events’ heading.
For more information, call or email
